Fort Dunlop was a redundant former tyre factory premises, in Birmingham.
The works included refurbishment to the existing fort dunlop factory which is made up of 9 floors and created office, retail and
recreational, facilities, with roof area being altered to create a recreational affect. Additionaly, a new build travelodge hotel was
also constructed, which tied in with the existing structure.
An underground car park was formed and the surrounding land redeveloped to create hard and soft landscaping.
Rawlings Consultancy Services were the appointed CDM coordinator and retained safety consultants to
Urban Splash, and were an integral part of the client project/design team, which included Urban Splash as client, Urban Splash Build and
principal contractor. Architects were Shed KM, structural engineers were Curtins Consulting Engineers and Bennet Williams were the mechanical
and electrical engineers.
