Asbestos Awareness Course

This course will suit any person who is likely to be exposed to asbestos within the course of their job role and needs a greater understanding and awareness of the dangers that asbestos poses.  This includes joiners, plumbers, electricians, maintenance operatives and labourers.

The programme will include:

Part 1:     Setting the scene

• Facts and figures about asbestos

Part 2:     Review the use of asbestos in the construction industry.

Part 3:     Describe the risks of exposure & methods for controlling risks.

Part 4:     Brief overview of Duty to manage asbestos
