COVID-19: LATEST employer guidance – 26 June 2020

Covid 19 Update

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement about lockdown measures easing in England from Saturday 4th July, the government has updated the existing Working Safely Guides and created new ones for those industries, which will be able to re-open.

There are now 12 in total, which include;

  1. Construction and outdoor working (updated)
  2. Factories, plants, and warehouses (updated)
  3. Labs and research facilities (updated)
  4. Offices and contact centres (updated)
  5. Other people’s homes (updated)
  6. Shops and branches (updated)
  7. Vehicles (updated)
  8. Restaurants, pubs, bars, and takeaway services (updated)
  9. Close contact services (new)
  10. The visitor economy (new)
  11. Hotels and guest accommodation (new)
  12. Heritage locations (new)

The changes to the previously issued guides include, the following;

  • 14 June 2020 (Version 2.0) Updated to reflect industry feedback, guidance on test and trace service, guidance on safer travel and to provide guidance on managing security risks.

  • 24 June 2020 (Version 3.0) Updated to reflect guidance on support bubbles, social distancing and feedback from industry. 14 June 2020

The Construction Leadership Council has stated that they will be reviewing its own site operating procedures (currently at version 4) and update this to reflect the new requirements. Please keep checking
